(Beverly Hills, CA) -- Bosley® Professional Strength is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Beauty Bus Foundation's 2nd Annual Beauty Drive, which took place on April 17, 2011. As a sponsor, Bosley Professional Strength helped Beauty Bus raise over $100,000, enough money to service nearly 350 new clients.
Over 350 people attended the event at Hollywood's House of Blues, which was transformed into a working salon, complete with straightening, curling and shimmer treatments, manicures, makeup application and much more. Notable attendees included KCBS/KCAL reporter Lisa Sigell, Secret Millionaire and entrepreneur Ali Brown, actor Dale Wade Davis and beauty industry icon Ann Mincey, the event's honoree. Mincey, a REDKEN 5th Avenue spokesperson and Beauty Bus board member, received the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award for her commitment to making a difference in the lives of patients and caregivers.
"The outreach, support, and enthusiasm for making 18everyday a beautiful day' for those struggling with a chronic illness or their care takers was so amazing at the Beauty Drive this year," said Bosley Professional Strength President Eric McLemore. "Whether awareness builds because of the founders of Beauty Bus, a reality TV show, a product company's support, cosmetologists volunteering their time, or a beauty industry ICON supporting the cause, I couldn't be happier or prouder to see Beauty Bus grow and reach more people with their services."
"There are not words to express our appreciation for Bosley Professional Strength's sponsorship of the 2011 Beauty Drive and the Beauty Bus Foundation," said Jaclyn Rosenson, Beauty Bus Program Manager. "Bosley Professional Strength's Beauty Drive sponsorship helped us raise 60% more than we raised last year. The event could not have happened without their support, and we are so grateful."
On April 3, 2011, Bosley Professional Strength also donated product for Walk MS, for which Beauty Bus served as a sponsor.
